Elevated white blood cell count?

Question

Anyone else have this issue? My count came back high twice and now I'm being sent to a specialist. 33 weeks. I'm nervous. Is this anything that could cause them to try to get the baby out sooner? Or just somethig that happens and will hopefully clear up after delivery?

Any advice or kind words would be great right now. Freaking out a little :(

They always air on the safe side especially with pregnancy. They will most likely do a blood work & tests to look for any kind of infection as well as monitor the baby more closely, most likely through non-stress tests which lets you see the baby through ultrasound more often.

Mine is always up and I have no symptoms of anything. They've done urine test after urine test and nothing. I took a round of antibiotics just to be safe but its still there every appt. My dr said it's normal late in pregnancy

Your white blood cell count is always somewhat elevated during pregnancy; it's pretty normal however to be safe they will probably still run a few tests ☺️
