So my MIL told my husband that it makes her sad that I don't love her. We are not close, but I am never rude to her. I'm cordial and speak to her when I have to. I remind my husband about her birthday and mother's day and I am the one that shops for her gifts. Plus, I don't just automatically LOVE people. I feel like he can't expect me to just love her, when she has never tried with me. Just probably wants me to kiss her butt, but I am not like that. My husband isn't even really a mama's boy. I have to tell him, go see your mom. Just venting and wondering if it's a big deal in your relationships.
