Snap & go vs. Travel system?

I'm a first time mom and now very confused!! We were thinking about getting a travel system (maybe Graco fast action click connect?) But now a few teacher friends at school have highly recommend buying a car seat and snap & go stroller separately. What are your thoughts?? Thank you! !!

The snap and go is only useful while your child is in an infant car seat. Once they out grow the seat you have to ditch the stroller part. However with a travel system the carseat snaps on just like the snap and go but when baby out grows the car seat, you can still use the stroller. Just food for thought. Different locations or methods of travel may warrant different preferences.

See if you can get a snap and go at a garage sale or consignment store. You'll only use it for a little while. No use in spending a ton of money on one. But I've heard that really easy for the first few months.

Travel system is more cost-effective. I did a lot of research, and really wanted a snap n go. But then when u think about the fact that, before long, you are going to need to buy another stroller and a larger car seat, it just isn't that economical. Disappointing, I know :(

I am getting both the graco click connect jogger and the graco elite base for the car seat. The base is $69 on sale right now at target. This one for quick shopping trips and the other for more seriousbuse

Okay so we just found at babies r us a grace stroller called modes and it's a travel system but the seat is removable so it can also be used as a snap and go. We plan on buying that one!

I have a BOB jogger stroller with Britax car seat & adapter. I got the snap and go for quick grocery trips or places that aren't ment for dragging my BOB with me. Once he is big enough and can support his head he will be in the jogger without car seat attached and I won't use the Snap and go once he is out of his infant car seat. I don't know.. It's really your preference and what kind of stroller you want for the long term. For me the jogger makes sense because I'm active and run/walk a lot.

We are getting a chicco Bravo stroller and a key fit 30- the stroller converts from an standard stroller snap and go frame. I liked that feature because we can take off the fabric parts and keep them looking nice while baby is in the infant seat and then set it back up when she is ready for the big stroller.
