Am I asking too much from him
I'm 11 weeks pregnant and my boyfriend and I broke up this week. I'm obviously sad and disappointed because I never thought I'd be a single mom but life goes on :-)
However, my boyfriend is still extremely excited for the baby and wants to be in his life... But not until he's born. He wants no contact with me until I go into labor.
I don't think it's fair. I'm more than willing to put my feelings aside and work on forming a friendship with him during my pregnancy. Together or not, I want him to be there for me to support me and experience the pregnancy milestones. If he isn't willing to be there for me during the pregnancy, I don't want him in the delivery room. I think that's a right, not a privilege...
He thinks I'm being completely crazy and doesn't see why he should need to be there for me during pregnancy.
Am I being unreasonable? Any advice or encouragement?
