Were you given a weight/calorie goal?

Question

For those who have already had an appointment with your OB or Midwife, were you specifically given a weight gain goal or a caloric intake goal?

I was told no more then 2lbs a month because I'm a lot overweight... I hate it though because I wake up in the middle of the night with hunger pains and I feel so guilty when I eat something...I can't sleep with the growing stomach pains so I don't know what to do! What's a good for you filling snack I can eat at night if I wake up hungry!

Since I got pregnant 4 months after giving birth, I unfortunately didn't lose all my weight from the previous pregnancy.  Personally I do to want to gain more than 20 lbs. I'm still exercising and making sure I'm only putting healthy stuff in my body.  Good thing I'm disgusted by sweets and have been craving strawberries and blackberries so far.

Since I'm considered overweight my doc told me I should gain between 11-20 pounds, and no more than 100 extra cals starting in the 2nd trimester and 200 extra cals in the 3rd trimester.

At my first appt when I was almost 5 weeks the nurse told me that because I'm at a healthy starting weight that 20-25 lbs is enough. I consider myself health conscious and I've been eating pretty much the same as I normally do with an extra snack or two and I've been exercising at least 5 days a week but I've already gained 6lbs! I'm trying not to sweat it because I've been taking care of myself but if I'm only supposed to gain 20-25lbs and I've already gained 6 in 4 weeks...yikes! Going to check with the doctor when I have my next appt this Wednesday 5/6.

Check out the Cinemama app. It's for bump pictures but there is also a weight tracker. You put in your prepregnancy info and it gives you a weekly chart that shows what your ideal weight should be each week. I love it!

My doc told me all I need is an extra snack or small meal per day. I am about 20 lbs less than my first pregnancy. With my son, he told me to gain no more than 15 lbs because I was overweight.

I was told 15-20 lbs at most since I was overweight to start with (5'6" 185 lbs). I'm hoping to be right at 200 towards the end of pregnancy but am not stressing about it. I've had 2 appointments and lost 3 lbs without trying so it's going ok so far.

I was slightly underweight pre-pregnancy, so when I saw the doctor at 5 weeks, he told me he wanted me to put on about 40-50 pounds. I feel like I'm eating everything, but I still haven't put on any weight.
