Saliva test for ovulation???

Question

Have any of you tried it? It's a microscope you put your spit on and during your time of ovulating crystals appear in a feeling type pattern. Have read loads of reviews and it seems to be accurate and reliable. They only cost 25-30$ which doesn't seem bad considering they are reusable and the batteries are replaceable. Opinions? Success stories? Thanks ladies 😊

Today's test results... The thin lines that crackle out and look like hair are considered the start of the "fernning" crystal pattern. Just so it's understood what to look for and how to read results. According to this I am in a transitional stage and means I have ALREADY ovulated 2-4 days ago, Or I WILL BE ovulating in 2-4 days. And since I'm still trying to pin point ovulation I'm not sure which yet. However I took my last OPK 2 days ago and it was negative (along with the days before this testing cycle since last AF) hopefully over the next couple days I should see an increase in this "fernning pattern"

Update #2 (5/8/15) test result today shows major crystallization and fernning. And according to this I have started my fertile window which so far is matching up with glow (although glow says my fertile window started two days ago and ends today. But still pretty close👍) looks like I'll have a weekend full of bd'ing (um hell yeah😂)

Katherine, I got my saliva test in the mail today 👏👏 of course I'm trying it out now and according to glow this week is my fertile window so we will see how this little doohickey works out 😬😬 so excited to use it lol

So I read this thread here and in controversy corner and my immediate reaction was, "that has to be a hoax, what the heck is a saliva microscope thing gonna do to predict my LH surge?" And then spent the last half an hour googling it. Apparently it does work but I've never heard of anyone using one.

It seems that you basically have to use it every day so that you can understand your own patterns and that sometimes the results aren't clear. But I also read a lot of great reviews and testimonials from the people that used it regularly.

If you take the plunge, let us all know what you think about it!
