So I had some spotting and cramping over the weekend and I have an appointment later today to get everything checked out.  I'm hoping it's normal, but I had a miscarriage a couple months ago so I am just really anxious of this situation and would feel better just going to the doctor.  My question is, if everything is progressing normally, can we expect to hear/see a heartbeat?  I am 6w1d today.  Is it typical to detect the heartbeat this early?
