Only you and your partner know if it's too soon or not. If you think it's the right decision for your family, then go for it. I got pregnant when my first was 6 months old, it's hard but not impossible. They are 1 & 2 now and the first year was hard and overwhelming. I won't have kids that close again but I know others that love a close gap, it depends on the baby really, I had a colicky newborn that didn't sleep and an independent 1 year that was always getting into things.

My friend got pregnant within a few months by accident and was upset at first, but now says it worked out great that her kids are so close in age. They're best friends
