Anyone else so frustrated with the lack of progress??

Had my 38 week appt this morning and I guess I just knew I had made some progress. So when my doctor told me I'm still not dilated at all, it hit me like a brick wall. And now I can't stop crying lol omg the pregnancy hormones are out of control! Tell me I'm not the only one? I just want my little girl already!!

Everything I've read says that a dilated cervix means absolutely nothing so I wouldn't worry about it at all! Some women are super dilated at 38 weeks and go over due. Some people spontaneously dilate before due date. It's not at all an indication of how close labour is. Just chill and enjoy sleep whe you can ❤️

I go for my mid 39 week appointment tomorrow. The last two appointments my cervix has not been cooperative.
I'm dreading tomorrow's appointment because I know he's going to tell me no progress, and I'll have to be induced the following week. Stubborn little girl like her Mama I guess! I've felt like I've had some contractions this week but knowing my luck probably nothing to get me moving in the right direction. Stubborn girl!! 😍🎀😘

OP don't worry! Last baby I was dilated 3+ cm at 36 weeks and STAYED there until 42wks. Right now I'm 1cm at 37 weeks but 2nd babies usually go sooner... So.

You don't need to make progress til labor- ask your doc to skip the cervix checks if you want. That baby is GOING TO come out!

I had mine yesterday too and pretty much got the same news! Cervix is really soft but still closed. The pain I've been in has not done anything to dilate my cervix. How discouraging! Hang in there 😊

I had mine checked yesterday at 38w and 3 days and still closed. I had wanted to do a membrane sweep but couldn't because I'm not dialated at all! Was very surprised as I definitely thought I was progressing! As soon as I got in the car I started bawling :(. My hubby put it in perspective though and pointed out that at least we still have a few more weeks to just enjoy it being the 2 of us.

Anyone else so frustrated with the lack of progress??
