White spot on heart during anatomy scan?
I went in for my anatomy scan today at 18w4d. I'm having boy/girl twins. Baby B (our boy) looked great and everything measured fine. Baby A (our girl) also measured fine but the tech found white spots on her heart. The doctor came in and said that if (when) I go home and Google I will see that the white spots can be a marker for Down's syndrome. But, because my blood tests have come back normal and I have no other indicators, he is not worried and thinks I shouldn't be either. Of course, I can't help but be completely worried!
I ended up doing the MaterniT21 test and now have to wait the 10-14 days for results. I'm trying to convince myself to not stress out, but it's tough. Anyone have this show up in their ultrasound and it turned out to be nothing?
