Heart rate monitors...?

I was looking into buying a heart rate monitor but I wanted to know if it was worth it and if so which one...

I talked to my doctor about this. She said it's tough for most people to find a heart beat with one until they're pretty far along but by then you should be able to feel movement. She told me a sad story about a woman who was far along and started feeling less movement in the baby. She got worried and used her home fetal monitor and heard a heartbeat so thought everything was ok. It wasn't and baby died. Sad. But the point is, maybe I'd skip it if I were you

I have a Sonoline B Doppler and it's fantastic! I found the heartbeat at 10+5 and have heard it a few times since then. It's sooooo worth it to put your mind at rest when you're worrying. Just remember it doesn't replace doctors advice though so if you have real concerns you should go see yours. It's great to hear though, I cried when I found it! :)

I did want a doppler but I'm glad I decided against it. Im 30 weeks and my office has been able to get his heart rate twice. He doesn't like the doppler and moves away from it every time.
