Finding pictures of his ex?

Last night I was doing some sping cleaning and found some pictures of my boyfriends ex and him and notes they have eachother I find it weird that he still has them why would he hold on to it so I tossed it in the trash and seen it and asked why I did that. Why would he want to hold on to it?

My husband had a whole notebook of love letters from his ex and pictures. We found them when we were moving, but we were already 4 years into our relationship. Needless to say my garbage can filled up pretty damn fast.

Why do women hold on to cards and pictures from our exes? They are mementos from a different time in our lives. They remind us of who were were then, be it good or bad, and remind us of a place in our life that we dont want to go back to. You can't just throw away pictures and notes from his life. My man has been married before, has two sons with her. I can't throw away pictures of her and him because she gave him two things he loves more than anything. I can't throw away their family pictures. I learn to embrace it. Out ofconsideration to me he doesn't display or ask to display any pictures that have her in them. But the pictures of his family - minus her- are all over  the place, mixed in with pictures of mine. How would you feel if he had went through your things and threw away old photos, notes, stuffed animals, jrlewlry, clothes or anything else an ex gave you? Just because you never wear, use or read it anymore. It doesn't mean he is trying to hold on to her, it's just a different place in his life

I have things from exes still. I don't keep them the remanence about the relationship, but as pieces of old chapters. I also keep letters and stuff from my sociopathic ex as a reminder of how far I'VE come as a person and how strong I was to finally get off that rollercoaster. I get why you would want them gone though, but it isn't your place to discard them. Bring it up, and let him decide.

Personally I don't keep pictures of any ex. I don't want to be reminded of them at all. Good or bad. I would like to have even more pictures of the person I'm with now. I live in the present and the future. And he doesn't have any pictures of women he was with. We both agree it's not necessary and the fact that it was hidden is kinda messed up. Even if it was to remember a bad time in life why hide it?? U should share this with a SO if your trying to be with them and love them.

How long have you guys been together? No matter what I don't think I would throw them out without discussing it with my SO... Please don't take this personally but if you haven't been together long he may not want to get rid of those things yet because of not knowing how far your relationship will go. Haha, if I got upset every time I found a picture of a ex I'd be mad a lot my husband is a photographer so he has a lot of pictures of his exs. Your SO probably holds on to those things because it was special and is a part of his life think of it as a year book would you make him throw a way that just because it has stuff about exs. But if it really bothers you then tell him you don't like it and to get rid of it. But your man is with you not his ex.

I don't keep pictures and notes from my exes but I do have a huge 5ft bear back home and a small one identical I have with me and my husband hates that so he bought me a 6ft bear for Valentine's Day to top it off lol but I think you should of asked him about them. That's his property, not yours and you had no right to dispose them. How would you feel if he disposed your property without your knowledge?
