I lost my jobs (I had 2) about 5 months ago because they got in the way of my drinking. I got with my SO right before I got fired from one job and quit the other and we had all these big plans to get an apartment and such. I couldn't find a job (once I quit drinking and doing drugs) and he got sick and can't work (he's been off work for 2 months now and looking at being off for another month maybe 2.)

Today I got my first paycheck from McDonalds. In my first week, I worked 27 hours and made $186 after Uncle Sam's deductions. I'm feeling very happy now. I have a few other incomes amounting to about $400 a month but that DOESN'T keep my truck running. So, once he gets back to work and I save up some money we'll be getting that apartment we talked about. He cried when he found out he'd be off work so long and wouldn't be able to find a place for us to live together. We might actually rent out his dad's house after July :) I'm just so happy. I have hope again!! I was getting so depressed. And maybe I will be able to afford my college tuition after all (scholarships paid most of it off but I was still stressing.)

McDonald's is looked down on as an employer, but right now it is heaven to me!😊❤
