Corpus luteal cyst?

Question

Went in for first ultrasound today at 5w4d because of abdominal pain and slight spotting. Good news! Saw a heartbeat and dr says pregnancy is healthy! Bad news is I have a 2 inch cyst corpus luteal on one of my ovaries which we have to wait to see if it resolves. Has anyone had one of these while pregnant and what did they do for pain management? I feel like I have to go to the bathroom all the time and sometimes have intense cramping.

I had them with both pregnancies and I had 3 cysts with this current pregnancy.  They went away on their own.

I have one on my left ovary. I went in at 4+6 to see what the cramping was about, and now I'm 7+2 and the cramping has much decreased. She told me the cyst was a positive sign of pregnancy so that made it a little happier news, but eventually the pain went away :)

Congratulation to your pregnancy! Don't worry to much about your corpus luteum cyst. It's very common to get a cyst while pregnancy. Nearly all cysts go away by their own. Unfortunately you get some pain. Therefore it has to be watched. Try to relax and wait it out. Should be getting better. If your pain gets harder you'll see your doc. Usualy your cyst will be gone when you are in your second trimester.
