Where to start?!

Went shopping to start to get stuff for baby and freaked out!! So over whelming! Where do I start?! What do I get first?! My mom bought a crib and a swing and a stroller for me. But what do I get? Hah what's most important

Car seat, can't leave the hospital without one! Diapers/wipes butt cream! Pacifiers. Crib sheets, towels baby bath and toiletries (a pack that has clippers, brush etc.) I always wished I had a high hair but that you don't need ASAP but a boppy pillow saved my life! Soft plushy blankets, my kid is almost two and loves all of his still!

Things to avoid IMO: too many little itty bitty clothes. Buy some bigger outfits like another poster said in the same season... Oh and baby food or snacks or jars or formula, buy that when you need it, never before.

Start a registry and do your best to wait until after the baby shower...hopefully you'll get lots of things you need/want from your baby shower and then you can just go and get the remaining items from your list that you need.

Diapers and wipes you can never have too many of. Then there's baby bottles of course if you're deciding to bottle feed. Also, clothes obviously. I wrote down how many months my baby would be for each month based off my due date that way I could buy clothes by size depending on the season it is at that time. You don't want to be stuck with a bunch of baby shorts in December that won't get any real use. Receiving blankets were a life saver for me with my first child, you definitely might want to have some of those on hand too.

I started with my shopping yesterday and got few onesies. Then I got confused as in what to buy and what can wait for now. But the shop keeper gave me a brochure of maternity and baby items. Its really helpful.
