Where should people see your baby?

I am delivering soon and I do t really want visitors to come by and meet baby at the hospital due to room size.
I heard of people coming to the house to visit baby and bring food .. What should I do?

I didn't want to see any visitors until my Baby was 6 weeks. It was to much stress... Grandparents and my sister were welcome at home - but no one else... If you get many visitors it could stress you out because you can't get rest enough. Although breast feeding is stressful at the beginning, visitors causes to much distraction.... First give birth, than see how you feel, than decide who is allowd to visit you early.

I'm not allowing anyone the first day so we can all rest & bond. Then family can come the next day or two. For me, I would rather they come to the hospital because it's easier to make them go away. You can even ask the nurses to make an excuse that they need to leave at X time because of X. For me, having people at my house makes me feel like I have to cater to them.

Personally it'll be family only at the hospital. And once I'm home in just playing it by ear I'd like a week minimum to get settled but I will see how I feel.

Had a not so good experience with my first born, so this time I've decided to have a 'staycation' for at least 3weeks. I don't want any visitors other than the people who truly help- my mom and my mother in law.

I prefer at home! I hate having visitors when I don't have any make-up on.
