Doctor didn't hear a heartbeat?

Question

I'm 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant and when the doctor checked my lower abdomen with a stethoscope he said that he didn't hear a heart beat but that baby might still be little. I'm going in for my US tomorrow to find out for sure if baby is okay. Is it possible that he may have passed or that I may have a miscarriage?

The baby is probably still to small to hear a heart beat or is snuggled deep in your uterus to be heard. In a couple weeks I'm sure you'll be able to hear a heart beat. I hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy!

Oh lord no the baby is way too small for that! With my son they wouldn't even try until I was 12 weeks bc they didn't want to freak me out by not finding it yet. Don't freak out!!! That's so bad for your baby. It's just a little too early. Soon you'll be hearing it every appointment.

Baby's prolly still too small same happened too me I went at 5 weeks 5 days they only saw a sack no heartbeat or baby went back at 7 weeks 2 days and saw my beautiful baby and a strong heartbeat!

That doesn't mean anything at this early stage, don't worry. I'd only worry if bleeding and severe cramps. Update us on the US!

We didn't see/hear a heartbeat at 6w which I thought was really disappointing, but my OB said it was nothing to be alarmed about because the baby was so teeny tiny.  I just had my 8w US earlier this week and got to see a strong heartbeat 164!  Try to stay positive, it's still very early.  Good luck!
