So basically, I've just had to leave my job of 3 years (retail/stylist) due to hip problems (hip dysplacia) I will be having major surgery in September. I live with my partner and his grandad parents and we've been saving for our own place but money wise we're have to put it on hold as I can't work, I've been signed off. I'm claiming disability allowance, but what would I be entitled to in housing? His family home is crowded with us all living here and as welcomed as I feel, I don't feel comfortable with being off and about to have my major surgery, it just makes me feel awkward, I need my own space especially for my recovery and having careers and nurses to come over. I'm 18 and live in Birmingham, UK.
