IVF consult...feeling overwhelmed!! 😥

I had an appt with my RE today to discuss moving forward with IVF if IUI didn't work this cycle. I really thought I'd be ok with the whole process but I just left the office feeling completely overwhelmed and scared shitless!!! We wouldn't be able to start for a while because we have to get the funds together. For you ladies that have gone through it, is it as bad as it seems?!! I guess the thing that scares me most is the possibility of it not working. I don't know that we'd be able to afford a 2nd or 3rd round. Just looking for a little reassurance I guess.
