Iui Tricare?

Any ladies here had a iui that are military spouses? Does Tricare cover the procedure?

I have tricare prime and everything is covered for us except the cost of sperm and the washing for the iui. If you have a MTF That has a RE clinic it is covered but if not it's out of pocket. Not many MTF have re clinics though

We are lucky that we are stationed in San Diego. The military hospital here has an infertility unit where they do IUI and IVF. Being that it's on base everything is covered. My wife and I are on route to do an IUI I hope..

I have Tricare and I am Active Army. We are dual military...Every MTF is different those that are teaching hospitals, have IUI and IVF if there are specialists there. The price can be as low as 2500 and up to 10,000 depending on the infertility issues. 
I had IUI for free all meds were free at Fort Hood, Tx. We were on the IVF list and our proposed fee was 5,000. The procedure was going to be done at Fort Sam.

We transferred to Port Hueneme in Cali it's a Navy base with a small MTF, we were referred to Naval base San Diego we were approved for IVF and the proposed cost for us was 10,000.

The wait list is 18 months and we are PCSing again in 6 months. I'm 39 and the clock is ticking the military has age requirements for IVF and IUI. So I went to HRC Fertility and spoke with Dr. Feinman in Encino Ca. He is matching the military price. We got our meds through a discount pharmacy. In total we have paid 7500 less than what the military was going to charge us.

If you go to a Non military doctor 
The Tricare website explains that they do cover fertility drugs by coital means only. If you are doing IVF or IUI (un natural conception) they will NOT cover it and your Dr has to sign it. You need a prescription.

Some Docs will sign but I didn't want to chance it.

I am in the process of IUI and I was told tori are doesn't cover the procedure. We have standard. They do however cover all blood work, medications and ultrasounds for me. I have PCOS

Hawaii has a RE clinic in Tripler. That's where I started my journey. I'm in TX right now doing IVF. Here, they cover IUI completely and you pay a portion of the IVF ($6500 at the most). It should be the same there. Have you seen the specialist yet? If your doctor refers you for fertility testing they will definitely let you know in the RE clinic.

I have tricare prime here in Georgia and they don't cover any IUI procedures or IVF the will only cover the medication and stuff like that everything else is all on me to cover

I was in the army. Well my hubby. And are you tricare prime or do you see a dr off post. Box if it's off post you have to pay for half. If u see dr on post then they pay for it.
