Sex after birth????

We are quite impatient lol...... hubby and i miss our intimacy n was jst wondering how long does it normally take. I gave norm vag birth last week Thursday, no tear or snip. Im not sore at all...... hardly spotting either.  I know its 6weeks but anyone go ahead before their checkup?

They have you wait because of the risk for infection. If you feel up for it, discuss it with your doctor

The main concern is the risk of infection. If the cervix is closed, and you aren't in any pain the sex can happen! I would recommend a condom, though. It smooths things out for the first time post the big push!

I had a few stitches after my son. But I felt fine, we were out & about a few days after being discharged from the hospital. My sons 1st movie was when he was 5 days old 😃. Our 1st time having sex was at 4 weeks pp. it didn't hurt but I was just nervous that it would hurt. Just go slow & be safe if you don't want to get pregnant again.

Yah I would wait. You're dry as a bone down there and as pain free as you feel now, sex will def hurt the first time.

Your certainly lucky! Sex wise I'm not sure but you seem quite good to go considering it's only been a week. I pray my birth is like yours 🙏🏼

My husband and I made it a week and 4 days after I gave birth. My recovery was not bad at all, I had 2 stitches and they were gone. It didn't hurt me either

I did after 4 weeks when I had my daughter. I had vaginal birth, no rips, no stitches nadda.... I was still sore at 4 weeks but wasn't horrible.

It's been 6+ weeks since hubby and I have done it. I'm scared but on top of that I just had a hernia repaired that I got while pregnant so that tacked on 3 more weeks. Hubby is dying but in sighing bc I'm nervous sex will hurt

U can still have intimacy without sex it s hard because obviously u want to do it while enjoying each other but it's kinda nice to not be able to have sex because u get to find other ways of enjoying each other. Then when u finally do get to do it it will be amazing!
