Bad feeling about premature delivery?!

I'm currently 32+5 weeks pregnant.
At my last growth scan it showed baby wasn't growing, so I've been monitored 3 x a week

Yesterday her umbilical cord is showing high resistance (which they said is bad). So I was given a shot of steroids to speed up her lung development.

I have to go back today for another round of steroids.

Baby hasn't moved in about 12 hours (which I will get checked out when I go to the hospital)

I just have a really bad feeling that I'm going to have her early. I feel guilty, like my body can't provide for my child already, and she's not even born yet.

my daughter was born at 25 weeks and 3 days. It is very rough in the beginning but you make it through. Try not to feel so guilty. That can make everything so much worse. easier said than done, i know. I felt so guilty for about 2 months afterward and it actually made me feel less connected with my little one. Once i got past those feelings, We were inseperable! she was still in the hospital but I was there so much more and now we are best buds! She is now 7 months old. Also, the medical technology and advancements these days is simply amazing and if a child born as early as mine was can survive and thrive, I have no doubr your baby and you will be just fine! Praying also helped me get through so much with my little one. She is a miracle and a blessing!! good luck dear:)

If I hadn't felt baby in 12hrs (even with sitting still for 2-3hrs to check) I'd be calling my midwife not waiting but that's just what our hospital instructed us to do.

As far as prem birth, all you can do is trust the medical staff who are looking after you and trust it will all be ok.

My son was born at 30 weeks 32 weeks is a huge developmental advance, usually at 32 weeks your baby doesn't have to go to a high risk NICU. Good luck! You will be okay, this is not your fault if she does come early, sometimes these things just happen, doctors don't completely understand premature births yet, or why they happen.
