When do most take maternity leave?

I'm due May 26th. I was planning on my leave starting today, but high blood pressure made me start April 29th. Last Friday my midwife said I was doing a lot better and could go off bed rest and take it easy. Since you're self employed I would just listen to what your body needs.

I'm also self employed. I scheduled myself to work my last day this coming Saturday & am scheduled for a cesarean on Thursday 21st. I'm exhausted & wish I would've taken this week off as well. Don't over work yourself. Easy to do when you're the boss😏
