Most of what I took with my first I didn't even use. This time around I'll be taking some pajama pants and some big shirts, nursing bras and nursing pads, and pads (although I might take Depends, even though it sounds weird because I saw somewhere it's way more comfortable than wearing those gigantic pads.) I can tell you right now I definitely didn't need a crossword puzzle book or anything to keep me occupied, once you're there you're basically either in labor or trying to sleep! Phone charger and a couple changes of clothes for hubs, a couple little outfits for baby (the ones with the built in glove things so they can't scratch themselves- the nurse got on to me for trying to clip his nails in the hospital) and then just some soap and shampoo for when and if you get a second to take a bath while people are cuddling the baby. But like I said, that list is coming from a woman on her 2nd baby having taken everything possible and suggested on her first baby! Definitely going minimalist this time!

Phone charger, plenty of underwear, I also packed my own pads to wear home (the ones my hospital provided were very uncomfortable), 2 yoga pants/sweat pants, 4 shirts, sock, flip-flops, shampoo & conditioner, make up, hair stuff, breast pads, and gum.

This is what I packed for my first pregnancy anyways. This time around I tend to also pack a robe, and a throw cover.
