Do you believe Pap smears cause miscarriages?

What do ya think? I've known a few girls who have had Pap smears early in their pregnancy and then miscarried, but it could very well be coincidences.

A pap can cause an infection during pregnancy. Any kind of internal exam could cause a infection and then possibly a miscarriage. So yes it is possible. Some doctors won't do paps while your pregnant some will.

A lot of doctors routinely perform a Pap smear on a pregnant woman if she hasn't had one in awhile. They just use a brush to take a tiny sample of cells from your uterus, it's not enough to cause a miscarriage.
