Sleeping pill?

I cannot sleep at all, I'm getting 3 hours of sleep if that! Is it safe to take a sleeping pill?? I honestly need a decent night so this baby can start growing!

Unisom is an antihistamine like benedryl. It works better for me and my doc said it is fine.

What about Melatonin? It seems like it would be safe since our bodies produce it, but doublecheck!

I try staying away from any medications. I use lavender on my pillow to help me sleep. Either lavender essential oil or the actual flower. It has calming properties and works wonders

Most over the counter sleeping pills are diphenhydramine, which is the same thing as benedryl

Not sure if you can use zzzquil while pregnant but I used to use that before (no problem sleeping right now) and it worked like a charm!

Maybe look at reasons you're not sleeping and trying to fix that then override with a medication? Like if you get indigestion in the middle of the night, take a Zantac before bed. Or if you are just uncomfortable, look into getting a "c" shaped pillow that will support you back and belly. Maybe working with your work schedule to get earlier shifts so you can go to be sooner. Just some thoughts :)

My dr said I can take Tylenol pm to help me sleep. Godsend!!! I have a hard time sleeping besides at my desk at work. Lol

Please ask your doc about. Most sleeping pills are forbidden while pregnancy because they're able to harm your Baby.
