7weeks after miscarraige

It has been about 7 weeks since i miscarried and im still bleeding. I was walking and i felt what i thought would be a big clot? Or just a lot of blood so i let it be and would check later. I went to the bathroom later on and saw something that looked like a placenta??? Im not really sure this is my first miscarraige it was brown looking and had something red in the inside. I dont know if it would be necessary to contact my doctor i havent had severe cramping like slight cramping as if i was having a regular period. Please i need help. Has this ever happened to you? Or know someone that happened to them?
