When do babies sleep during the night?

How soon can I try to get my daughter (6 days old) to sleep more? She wakes up every hour and it's just me waking up with her. I'm dying!!

It's unrealistic to expect a baby to sleep through the night unti they're at least 6 or more weeks old or weigh approx 11lbs and are gaining weight steadily. Babies need to be taught the difference between day and night, and you can do that by leaving them to sleep with blinds open during th day and in the very dark at night so can differentiate the difference they will soon learn. Also, start a routine for bedtime. You could try bathing at night, followed by a feed and then bed. Also, when baby wakes up during the night to feed, don't talk or interact much, keep lights dimmed and feed one side, burp, change Nappy, feed other side then burp and back to sleep. :-)

Oh hunni at 6 days bubba needs you! My little man is 6 months and still wakes up to 5 times a night! Don't expect too much of bub yet! It's so normal for them to wake and need mum! 
It's called the 4th trimester, bubba has been in your belly having constant comfort for the last 9 months and that's all bub knows! They need time to adjust and learn about the world. 
I know it's hard, but before you know it bub will be 6 months old and you will wonder how you got through it!! Oh and you learn to live off little sleep lol

Makes sure she gets a full feeding at each meal. This tip changed my world! I know it's hard to keep them awake when they're that young, but do whatever you can: undress her, burping, tickle her feet, etc. Good luck!

Also, breastfed babies are less likely or will take longer to sleep through the night as breastmilk is digested easier/faster than formula so they may wake more often. And always leave a baby to sleep without waking them to feed UNLESS they aren't gaining weight steadily, therefore you may have to wake them to feed.
