When did you get a membrane sweep and did it work

Pondering getting my membranes swept next week 38 weeks since they have scheduled to induce me 5/26. I would like to go into labor on my own was wondering if anyone had luck with getting their membranes swept?

I got a membrane sweep at 38 weeks and the doctor accidentally broke my water so he sent me straight to the hospital and I had my son in the next 2-3 hours.

With my 4th daughter I went in for a check up at 4:30pm and I was dilated to 4 to 5 cm and they did my membrane sweep and I was having pain the rest of the day and I went to the hospital at 12 something in the am and I was 7 to 8cm  and I had my little one at 4:37am in the morning it works

I am planning to ask to get it done around 38 weeks too let us know if it works for you or not

1st baby - 41+1 and worked within 24hrs

2nd baby - 37+4 didn't work and had to be induced at 38wks
