Too young....
Ladies. I'm certainly not telling you how to raise your children... However I have a suggestion...
If your child is 15 or younger... Maybe not let them have a smart phone? A cell yes just not a smart phone... Namely girls and here is why. My husband is in law enforcement. He was working with some detectives on a case... Children are being sexualized younger and younger....
This little girl in this case was 10 years old. She has an app on her phone call kik. It allows you to text and send pictures and play games with random people.... Well, this young girl was messaging an older man. A pedophile. At least 20. He was soliciting her to send him nudes. She did. She asked him to send her "dick pics" .....
He did. She also sent him videos... And my poor husband had to watch and see his and her pics in order to charge the man. They have to charge him for every pic he sent and every text soliciting the young girl.....
This is getting more and more common.....
I remember when phones weren't around and 10 yr olds didn't know what sex was....
The girl is getting in trouble as well... Obviously not as bad....
But moms, I know you don't want to be overbearing or whatever.... But if your child DOES have a smart phone.. Maybe check it once in a while?? The mother of this girl was devastated and had no clue..... It's just a warning.... It makes me so sad.
