What delivery method would you use?

Just wondering what would be best? I might go with a c section but people tell me i can only have two kids tho.

I have a friend who had such bad scarring after 2 emergency c sections that she unfortunately had to have a hysterectomy. C sections are amazing if you truly need them.. they can and do save lives. But I would never opt for major abdominal surgery if it was not medically necessary.

I have a friend who scheduled her c-section from when she first found out she was pregnant. No medial reasons necessary. I love said friend dearly but I'll never understand why a vaginal birth - which a woman's body was created to do- scared her more than major abdominal surgery.

I am NOT against c-sections when they are medically necessary at all. But I would never choose to have a huge needle put into my spine that makes me feel paralyzed, have my stomach cut open, have my organs messed with, and then need a week of painful recovery,  by choice. I just think people forget how serious of a surgery it is.

I had my son two years ago naturally and plan to do the same with this one. Now, if it doesn't go as planned then that's a different story! Good luck with your choice.

I'm just curious, is there a medical reason you would rather go for the c-section? Your body is designed to give birth vaginally and the recover time is much less and far more easy. A lot of c-section mamas wish they could have done it vaginally so I'm just really curious about why you want one? No hate of course! Just genuine curiousity.

I'd much rather deliver vaginally if I'm able to than have to recover from a major abdominal surgery and tend to a newborn at the same time. That being said, c-sections are sometimes necessary so I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for both options.

I'll have to go with a vaginal delivery unless I absolutely have to get a c section due to medical complications.

I am currently trying to decide between VBAC or a second c-section. I have to wait until my next appt to see what my doc recommends, and measure all of the pros and cons. It also depends on if this baby is gigantic again, too. I was told have a narrow pelvic opening, and my son's shoulders were stuck across the opening! Poor guy wanted to get out but he just couldn't make it!

You can have as many kids as you want even with a c section. I know my insurance will only pay for a medically necessary c section, so you might want to look into that before planning a c section.

Why would you choose a c section they can be very traumatic and does your Dr let you just opt for an unnecessary surgery that seems bizarre its surgery not just a thing to do my daughter has had two fuk that it seems so hard I've given birth 5 times once in a van and would be terrified to get a c section

I don't know if the only two children thing is true. And you don't always have to have another c-section after having one. My sister gave birth vaginally after having a c-section with her first for medical reason. I guess it depends on the doctor. For me I'm giving birth vaginally if I can. Child birth is expensive, and c-sections cost upwards of 40 grand so I'd rather try to do it the "free" way before I have to worry about whether or not 1) I'll have to pay for it, 2) if my organs will go back in properly or I'll be stitched up right. C-section is a great option especially for emergency cases, but I worry about the risks associated with it, and have heard some scary things. That being said, I was born via c-section and my mother is perfectly fine so I guess, just do some research on both, and figure out what feels right for you. Essentially, you're going to hurt either way just figure out how long you want to be hurting.
