Cadence for girl?

Question

Was hoping for some opinions? I love the sound of the name but not sure what kind of response it will get. Does anyone know someone w this name, do they like it? I'm not into popular names so that's another reason I love it.

I danced for fun from as far back as I remember even two years in college and a cheerleader in highschool and college as well. Choir all through highschool too so as far as music goes it's a big part of my early life. I guess now a days it's okay to use a word for a name?

My niece is named Kadence Arianna, and we call her Kady. I love it it's a pretty name.

I have a friend who named her daughter Cadence (she spelled it Kaydence). Her husband is a drummer and I think it's a really cool name because of that. She could go by Kay as a nickname.

Thanks ladies! I've never met one personally and I totally agree it sounds so adorable. It will definitely go with my other girls names too. Now to convince the DH!! I'd also go with Cadie as a nick name I think.

Why not? There are a few music lovers who call their children melody, harmony etc. I think it sounds quite traditional like temperance or faith and those names are really making a come-back.
