I took a save a lot pregnancy test for a dollar and it said negative but I took it apart as you can see and I noticed the pinkness where it's circled can someone tell me what that's about?

For people that say it's invalid after you take it apart are ignorant. Dollar tree tests are the same as clinical strip tests IN A CASETTE and opening them doesn't do anything except remove the possible shadow that the opening window sometimes creates.

In the wick that you apply urine to should allow it to pass through and the other end is to absorb it. This was a fluke test you have. Looks like the dye was applied in the wrong area when manufacturing.

Retest in am with FMU, good luck sweetie and dnt listen to people that want to be critics abt taking the plastic off-- only time it makes the test invalid is if it's a digital test, those will always have two lines on one of the two strips in it. 😊

Just cause it is open doesnt make it invalid my test was negative when it was together and still negative when i took it apart and when i was pregnant be for my test was positive and was still positive after i took it apart and it has been a year test still the same and my negative test have never became positive but i have had evaps after a few hours but very clearly not positive because they had no color.

It's negative. Where you circled is actually where the dye is stored. It'll be there every time. See how much wider it is than the control line? Wishing you the best and baby dust!

Happens to all of mine. Sometimes it's even this bad!! 
It's just a dye run, and usually If you add a drop of water to take away any excess pink dye it'll go away. But I have had my bfp with this brand and whether I took it apart or not it was visible so these can be taken apart and are pretty good tests!!!

All strips do that, that's why they are in the case. The dye globs up on the edges.
