gDiapers...?

So, my son is 2.5 months old and I want to start cloth diapering. I wanted to originally use cloth when I was pregnant, but was too overwhelmed. So, now that I've kind of gotten into the groove of being a mom, I want to do cloth! Anyways, I know I want to use gDiapers. What I am wondering is how many of the diaper covers/shells I will need, whether I should use the disposable liners or the cloth liners, and anything else I should know! Thanks!
