HPV and pregnancy?

I just found out on Thursday that I have type 16 and 18 hpv, which are the common causes of cervical cancer. I had a colposcopy and biopsy done, just waiting on the results. Does anyone else have one or both of these types and were still able to get pregnant?

I had several strands of the cancer hpv. It showed up in one pap, and I got a pap every 6 months for 1.5 years. I got the clear to just do yearly paps after my 3rd one. Being clear. It has never showed up again and all my cancer cells went away. Don't stress, most of the population get hpv and don't even know it.

I was never told the type at 3 different offices. I had it for 4 years before it went dormant. I did paps every 6 months and have had 2 colposcopy procedures. Just keep going back when they want you to so they can monitor it.

I had 6 types including the "dangerous" ones you are talking about. Got a cervix conization in early 2011 everything is clean now and besode the fact pregnancy needs to be a bit more checked apparently my gynecologist said i wont have any issue. Been TTC since january now and was supposed to have AF swing by today but nothing yet. Testing in a couple days ;)

I had hpv it's a virus that goes away on its own. They didn't tell me what type I had. I had no symptoms. I only had it for a few months. As far as I know it's now gone. My midwife didn't say anything about it showing up. I'm now 25 weeks pregnant. The best thing to do is just eat right, and if you smoke try to stop. Hpv makes higher risk for cervical cancer.

I was never told what type of hpv I have?? I was diagnosed in November and haven't tried to get pregnant since so please let me know how it works for you!
