Natural birth control?

Hi ladies. 4 weeks PP and wondering what you were using for birth control before you got pregnant? I am looking into the copper IUD (no hormones). I was on the mini pill before. Not interested in taking my temperature as I need something that is more effective and I don't trust myself that way. Thanks in advance!

I was using the Fertility Awareness Method for over a year before getting pregnant. As long as you're consistent and learn about the rules, it works very very well. It's also fascinating how much more you start to understand about your body when you practice FAM.

I had the Paragard for about six months and I hated it! My periods went from bad to unbelievable! I would bleed for almost two weeks and the cramping was atrocious. I switched to Mirena, which does have hormones which I don't like, but I finally wasn't having murder scenes in my bathroom every month.

I went for the copper iud.... Had it taken out after a couple of months because we want another.
I love the fertility awareness method as well! Only problem with that is after having bubba your cycles can be all over the place! I'm 6 months pp and have had regular cycles since I gave birth even though I'm exclusively breastfeeding, so it's a bit easier! Just depends on you! X

i had paragard for about a year and a half. it was alright, but sometimes i got this really weird pain after sex. i took it out to ttc. after this baby i'm going to do natural family planning for a while since we are toying with the idea of having a 3rd. after that baby i may get an iud again.
