Xray and ttc??

Question

Hubby and I are bd this weekend as ovulation is near...but I have to have an xray on my tailbone next weekend... will this be ok? I'm wondering if we should wait til next month.... which made hubby sad when I told him, but I don't want the xray to have negative effects. What do y'all think?

I am a X-ray/ct tech and although the radiation for an X-ray is very minimum it is also most harmful to you and baby in your 1st trimester and no they will not be able to shield you and protect you for that kind of exam. If you think you may be pregnant I tell everybody that if it were me I wouldn't do it if you are just planning on having sex then there's no reason why you wouldn't be able to have the X-ray because it won't effect anything

They probably won't be able to cover you properly for a tailbone xray I would say wait just to be safe
