Current relationship with the person you lost your virginity to?

I recently lost my virginity to a really nice guy, and found out later he was cheated on by his ex and broke up maybe a month before he asked me out. In addition he's moving across the country by the end of summer, so we agreed not to commit to each other. I thought when he asked if we could still be friends that we could still hang out and talk, but he's ignoring me hard. I've been reaching out to him in little, non flirtatious ways but to no avail. I know I need to leave him be, but it would be comforting to know other people who have gone through something similar. Please no judgement/advice. Just thanks if you share and thanks for listening.
