Sharing my birthday!
Wednesday may 20th, 2015 I woke up with some pretty sharp contractions about 6:30am. Was suppose to help watch my niece so I texted my sister asking her to come early and hang out with me and my niece while I try to figure these contractions out. My mom ended up showing up as well. Spent the morning walking, took a bath, eating (lol I don't think I ever wanted food as much as I did this day) and stressing my fiancé out because I told him not to leave work until I know what's going on. Was at about 8-6 minutes apart for most of the day and we decided that we should go at least get checked at the hospital at about 1:30pm because they were consistently 6 minutes but lasting 2-5 minutes long. Was certain they were going to send me home. Checked into triage and was on the monitor watching the contractions. Was loving my high pain tolerance at that point because the numbers were climbing but I wasn't even really feeling them. They checked me and I was 3cm and 80% and my doctor sent me to walk for an hour. Came back and I was almost a 4 and 85%. My doctor admitted me and we moved to labor and delivery. Hit the point where my pain tolerance no longer was helping and asked for drugs. Because all the pain was in my back. I couldn't do anything to get that pain to stop. I was moving along steadily until about 11:00 pm and hit 7.5 and 90% when I decided epidural now. Lol got the epidural was given pitovin because I was not dialating anymore. At 3:30 am the doctor came in and popped my bag and let the pushing begin. I pushed for an hour and at 4:43am on May 21, 2015 Liliana Sophia was born. She was 6.4 lbs and 19 1/4" long and beautiful!
I'm so happy to share the day I was born 26 years ago with my daughter. We are both home and happy and healthy!
