Ovary pain when not ovulating + late period?

So about last cycle I noticed some random ovary pain, both sides, when I wasn't ovulating. It was going on for weeks just randomly, like sharp stabbing pains. Now my period is like 9 days late and I'm still experiencing the same pain, random sharp pains in either ovary. Along with this I'm having strange pulling cramps. There is about a 2% chance I could be pregnant but either way, I don't think a late period and ovary pain is good? What could this be?
