New Born hospital procedures - Vitamin K, eye drops etc?

Question

Are you choosing to deny any of the standard procedures for a new born like the vitamin K shot, Hep vac or eye drops? If so which ones and why. Im still trying to make up my mind on what we will do. The eye drops and Hepatitis vaccine seems a little too much for me.

I'm declining it all. About vitamin k, all babies are naturally deficient at birth. Something tells me nature does that for a reason. I trust nature more than docs.

Delay cord clamping (wait until its done pulsating or all the blood is back in the baby) and there is no need for vit k shot!

Eye ointment is also precautionary but unnecessary.  Not gonna happen to my baby. Antibiotic resistance is scarier.

Hep B nooooo way. My baby isnt having sex or using needles at birth lol there's no reason for it!

Oops, wasn't done. We declined hep b becasue we don't vaccinate, vitamin k becasue there is a natural reason newborns are born with a low supply, and the eye drops becasue they are not necessary for every baby and they can interfere with crucial bonding.

I'm declining the hep b and they eye ointment. The whole vitamin k thing freaks me out so we're doing oral vitamin k over about a weeks time instead of the injection.

I'm declining all of them. The hepatitis b shot is a holdover from World War II when soldiers were coming home with STDs... And passing them to wives and children. Unless your baby will be an IV drug user or sexually promiscuous, or around people who are, it's ok to wait. The eyedrops are in case you have an outbreak of genital herpes. You've probably been tested at least two or three times, and if they have come back negative you're probably okay. The baby is passed so much beneficial bacteria in the birth canal, And the drops can deliver their vision and the first moment they see you. If you're having a boy, and plan to circumcise, they'll probably make you have vitamin K for clotting.

I decline all. I do not have any STI's that could effect baby's eye's ( eye ointment), what the previous poster said about vit k ( I would consider it if birth was traumatic for baby as it may be more helpful then) and I do not plan on baby being sexually active for many years (hep. B; given in case baby needs a blood transfusion, but blood is screened for these things). That is my reasoning, and I am comfortable with my decision.

I'm declining the eye ointment and hep B vaccine. Both unnecessary at birth. I was planning to decline the vitamin K shot since I take it everyday myself and figured baby must be good too, but my doula showed us research that unfortunately  vitamin K doesn't pass from mom to baby very well. That one doesn't seem as harmful to me, and definitely scary if something happened due to declining it.
