Has this ever happened to you?

I've had four faint positive pregnancy tests. I went to the doctor today to confirm pregnancy (I would be exactly 5 weeks today), and the doctor's test came back negative. He proceeded to explain that most women get positive tests 10 days after their missed periods (I'm between 8-9 days late).

Today I'm experiencing some mild cramping and I had a little spotting. I might be miscarrying, but I'm still confused as to why I'm receiving faint positives at home, but a negative at the doctor's office.

*Note: this pregnancy test was taken 4 hours before my doctor's appointment.

Not sure about the bleeding and cramping but when you get blood tests above 5 it usually means pregnancy..unless their going down from a chemical...but doctors week say negative until the numbers are around 20 ....get the numbers each time

I can't answer the why question but I can say that the same thing happened to me when I had my chemical pregnancy. Multiple faint  posiives (but definitely positives) on hpts, then negative blood test, then more faint positives, another negative blood test, and then negative hpts until I had my chemical.

Doctors tests are not as sensitive as HPT, give it a few more days then take another test fingers crossed and baby dust ✨✨

Maybe I'm wrong but it doesn't look like it has any pink color to the second line? Good luck! Hope it turns out to be positive!

Even if you were miscarring you would still be getting a positive as you still would have hcg in your system. Wait a week and test again.
