What's your opinion traveling by car with a month old baby?

Question

We have trip plan to go to myrtle beach by that time our baby boy will be 1 month.

The trip is about 6 hours.

Any suggestions? I'll be with my parents and husband .

Took our first baby on a 6.5 hr car ride to visit my family when he was only two weeks old. & he did great! The main thing you have to plan for is a lot of extra time to stop and care for a newborn. The travel was supposed to be 6.5 hrs but ended up being much longer!

We took my barely two month old son to Palm Springs ( an 8 hour drive from home ) and he did great! We stopped a lot..to nurse and stuff but honestly I say do it while they are young and they grow up used to it!! He is an amazing traveler at now 4.5 yrs. We travel a lot and have the best memories. Its extra work but you will be so glad you did it when looking back :) good luck and have fun!!
