Why is coffee bad for ttc?

I am a coffee addict and I have at least 2 cups a day. My mom said she drank a lot of coffee when she was pregnant with me. I am just wondering why it's bad to drink when you are TTC? Does it make it harder?

If you have a heavy caffiene habit during pregnancy then the baby can "withdraw" from the caffiene in the first few days, they get quite jittery. I have cut down to 1 cup whilst TTC and plan on trying to be virtually caffiene free when we get pregnant x

I drink one cup a day while TTC. This is my first month. Just make sure to watch your total caffeine intake. My doctor told me to definitely cut back.

I was a coffee addict. The first month we actually tried, we had no problem conceiving. Now I'm staying away just incase it causes issues in the first trimester, and I'm feeling nausea so it probably won't help with that!

Two cups you should be ok, caffeine can thin your uterine lining when you drink too much, I stuck to one cup a day and didn't have a problem getting pregnant
