How does asthma affect pregnancy early on?!?

I have asthma, and we're ttc, I had an asthma attack last night and I'm fighting a cold today. I'm usually very very well controlled but until I know anything in afraid to use my inhalers as some can cause birth defects...
But even then I've gone months without needing anything at all, but then I'm suddenly sick?? 
I'm hoping this means I'm pregnant, but has anyone been through this before??

I have asthma and my doctor said there are some inhalers that are safe to use while pregnant. Albuterol is one, advair hfa and I am currently on pulmicort to keep my asthma under control during my pregnancy. The dr said having uncontrolled asthma during pregnancy can be harmful for your baby if left untreated. He told me it's better to get it under control and treat with inhalers than to not. Talk to your dr about what you can take.

I have asthma to and when I was pregnant with my son that is now 4 years old I was always in an out of the hospital because of it I was always given albuterol an un less I really needed it I was given prednisone. My son is super healthy pain in the butt lol. The medication I was given didn't cause any birth problem with my son. But if you what to be extra sure ask your Dotor. Good luck
