Interracial relationships- how does it work in the long run?

We are an interracial married couple; Indian and Czech...and we reside in Germany

I am concerned about raising children; their first language ( Czech, Indian or German)

Been stressed out

What they hear the most of during language development years (1-2 yrs old) is what will be their first language. Your kids will easily pick up the other two. Their language might develop a tad slower because of being tri-lingual but kids are smart and learn language quicker and easier than adults. I know a family in this situation and their kids are tri-lingual (Dutch, Spanish, and English). Both kids are smart and exceptional!

Don't stress girl! Just go with the flow and figure out what works for you and your family. My husband is Filipino/Japanese and I'm Finnish/Russian/Irish. I'm 3rd generation American and my husband is 1st. Our son is mixed and we just follow whatever feels right. Don't let others dictate  your happiness.

Stressing over something like that is not worth it. Kids pick up learning languages really fast. Start with a language everyone knows, like English, and then teach them the others.

My husbamd is Chilean and im from the US (scottish/ italian decent)....  Weve been married 4 years and have been together 8...  The cultural difference wasnt that difficult he knew english.. We were together long distance for 4 yesrs so it took us communicating that got us through...

I think it has more to do with your compatibility than race. As for language, I've read that if you want to bring kids up bilingual, then have each parent speak his/her native language with the child. That's worked well for my friends with different native languages. My hubby and I live in Germany but will mostly speak our native English with the baby, some German, but she'll get most of her German in kindergarten.

My SO an I are interracial he's from El Salvador. I'm African- American and Dominican. We both speak Spanish as our first language (my mom was fluent and it's my fathers first language) and so will our daughter. Neither he or I found it difficult learning English when growing up. I am African American and French. My fiance is Indian. Sometimes it's hard because I think he rather his race. But he says that he doesn't want women of his race. It stresses me out sometimes too. But he loves me very much. And if he didn't. Wouldn't have asked me to be his wife

First language should be the common language in your case probably German. Then you and your guy each talk to the little one in the other languages. They need to associate the language with someone or some situation or they get confused.

I'm Canadian of mixed origins and my husband is Jordanian. Our kids will learn English, Arabic, Spanish.
