I was hoping to deliver at LIJ New Hyde Park, however I am finding that most doctors do not plan to be there for your birth. The practices are associated With larger groups of doctors and whoever is on call comes... When I ask if I can meet them I'm treated like a crazy person. Is this really how it's supposed to be? I have heard of doctors trying to rush you in and out and encourage c sections and induction, which I am not interested in. Anybody have any suggestions?
