How long until a negative HPT?

How long after you stopped bleeding did you get a negative home pregnancy test? X

I lost my baby may 19 and stopped bleeding in May 24. Took and hpt on the 28th and it was  negative. Did blood work the next day and my number were below 5.

It took me three weeks to have a negative HPT. Three long, horrible weeks.

I started spotting on 1st May and had a scan that showed baby stopped growing at 6 weeks when I should have been 11. Had heavy bleeding from the 8th May and bleeding stopped on 16th May. My HPTs are still positive, not dark lines but visible without squinting. Is this normal? We have had i protective sex since the miscarriage. X
