Flat nipples?

My midwife says I have flat nipples? Anyone else? And did you have problems with eating your baby in the beginning??

I have inverted nipples and thought it would pose a problem when breast feeding so they gave me these little cupse that go over the nipple and pull the nipple out. You simply place it in your bra and just wear it throughout the day. They aren't uncomfortable, but they are not cute lol not something you would want to wear out to town.

You can purchase a nipple shield to help baby latch and breastfeed.

Mine are pretty flat but the baby doesn't have trouble latching and as soon as he's on there his suck pulls them out. You may not have trouble.

Maybe find a lactation consultant just in case you have problems.

I have flat nipples, my baby wouldn't latch and she was born tongue tied. Nipples shields did not work for me so I end up formula feeding.
