Out of town prenatal?

My husband, son, and I are suddenly having to leave town for his work, and will miss my 8 week prenatal. Has anyone had an out of town visit before? What was your experience? Should I just want til 12 weeks when we are back, to see a doc for the first time?

I planned to do that, just was wondering if it would be okay to be seen here too, since our previous was a miscarriage :( just want to be sure everything's going okay.

I've done that and it was fine, it's ok to wait too... It's whatever you're comfortable with. Maybe just speak with your doc and let him/her know just to see if they want to get the initial prenatal labs done before you leave. Safe travels!
